After a stressful day of classes and the crazy college atmosphere, all a girl really needs is to get off campus because dining hall food is just not happening tonight. Before you make your venture off campus, there is one important component to a “night out on the town” and that is the Stag Bus. Say what you will, but the Stag Bus is a critical part of life here at Fairfield. Although taking it can be an ordeal, it is a necessity and something that will never be taken for granted. I mean at the very least it is free transportation...
Stage 1: The Decision
The decision to go into town is made and the excitement is overwhelming as you start the planning.
Stage 2: Checking the times
Once it's decided that you're going out, it's time to check the times the Stag Bus comes. You decide 7:00 is the perfect time!
Stage 3: The Rush to Make the Bus
Although you had this plan for hours, you're still rushing to make sure you make it on time. The built up anxiety is real.
Stage 4: The Wait
You walk over and realize that the Stag Bus is not there yet so you have no other choice but to stand there and wait. Can I be any more of an underclassman?
Stage 5: Which bus is which?
There are two Stag buses today, so one must be going to the mall and the other is going to town. Awkward. “Excuse me sir, is this the bus to town?” No? Of course it isn’t.
Stage 6: Get on the Stag Bus
You are finally on the Stag Bus and in route to your destination but there is one stop before then so just sit tight and enjoy the ride.
Stage 7: The Arrival
You have finally arrived in town and the moment you step off the Stag Bus, you feel like a free person.
Stage 8: Waiting Around Take 2
Dinner was finished early and you still have another half hour until the Stag Bus comes. I guess a Starbucks stop in the Fairfield Bookstore was just meant to be.
Stage 9: Stag Bus Sighting
You see the Stag Bus off in the distance then suddenly everyone jumps up and races to the front of the bookstore.
Stage 10: The Trip Back
A night on the town is finally over so maybe I’ll just fit in a little nap on the trip back to campus because the whole ordeal was exhausting but definitely worth it.
