The 2017 season for the Dallas Cowboys has been a rollercoaster of emotions.
From losing our star running back, Ezekiel Elliot, in Week 10 of the regular season, to countless injuries that potentially derailed the entire season, playoff chances are dismal and it would take miracles on top of miracles to secure a wild card spot.
The typical, fluctuating rankings and wins/losses is something that fans have grown accustomed to. But, nonetheless, the fans, myself included, are still unwavering and firm in our support
Here are the stages of emotion that every Cowboys fan feels.
1. "This will be our year"
From gaining strong draft picks and the normal pre-season hype, fans are always screaming how the new season is our year to shine.
2. "Super Bowl Champs 2018"
After winning a few pre-season games and then Week 1 and 3 games, everyone was certain that this was our winning year, even amid the news of Elliot.
3 "You know, it's just one loss"
Even two, close, back-to-back losses in Weeks 4 and 5, nothing could shake our mojo.
4. "This would happen..."
Fresh off our bye week and three wins in our pocket, we hit a losing streak and it took a hit on our confidence as fans.
5. "America's Team Baby!"
We got three more wins and wow did that boost our morale. Now facing Ezekiel’s return from suspension, we are stronger than ever
6. "Don't call it a comeback"
Ask anyone and you’ll hear how everyone is still rooting. But secretly, our chances of a playoff berth is bleak. Still, don’t call it a comeback!
Regardless of the outcome for this season, at least we are still America's team!!!
