Winter has come and gone, whether or not the weather felt like it, and now it is time for the spring. You know what this means? Suffering, and a lot of it. But how could that possibly be the case when the world around you is changing from a cold, brown, dead wasteland into a green, living beauty? Well, let me just give you a few of the many reasons as to why spring is arguably the worst of the four seasons.
1. Allergies
The first reason is also the biggest reason why spring is literally the worst time of the year. All of these blooming flowers and other plants are sending their pollen throughout the air. Very few people are lucky enough to not have the pain of head aches, runny noses and sore throats due to all of these reemerging allergens -and those are some the luckiest people to walk the planet.
2. Bipolar Weather
One day it is sunny and warm, the next day it is pouring rain then the very next day it is near freezing. You may find yourself asking "what season is it again?" Well, that is a trick question because not even mother nature knows. She is still stuck on wanting to let it snow but also wanting all of us humans to go relax pool side. Every morning when you first wake up, checking the weather has to become a habit in order to survive the day.
3. New Love Is In The Air
Maybe this is just me being a bitter, single person, but all of this new love in the air makes me want to lock myself in my room and watch Netflix by myself for the rest of eternity. Granted, I feel that way all day, every day, but still. Actually, yeah this is just me being a bitter, single person, but I still stand by this point. Every spring I see numerous new relationship status updates on Facebook just to watch them change back within the next few months. I can't be the only one bothered by this, right? Right?
4. Bugs
This is probably the only thing that is tied with allergies as one of the worst things about spring. All of the bugs that went away during the winter have returned with a vengeance and they are ready to annoy you until the next winter. Apparently some people love these creatures coming back, however those people need to realize that these bugs are disgusting and creepy and annoying and they need to go back from once they came.
Here is to hoping for a spring that won't last too long this year so we can move on from all of these atrocities.
