Spring semester is home to many new things: new classes, new friends, new experiences, and new stress. The moments of pure happiness and bliss are long gone by the time that the first calculus exam rolls around and you wish that you had taken a mere twelve credits. Yet, we always push through and get past it all with a little inspiration from "Friends."
1. Fall is over, so it's time to get your life together.
A new semester means new people asking you what you are doing with your life. You're supposed to have it together by now, except none of us really do. Instead, we pretend to be Olivia Pope or Meredith Grey while we hide in our rooms and binge watch Netflix.
2. You walk into a club and hope to get your M-R-S degree in case you fail college.
You thought that you knew what you were doing. You thought that you had it all down now that fall is over, but, once again, you failed to realize that it's kind of like square one and the same stresses still apply.
3. You contemplate whether you should eat the last slice of pizza or go to that hip hop fitness class.
You make it clear that your choices are your own and that you can eat whatever you want. Even when you try to be good, spring semester classes come chasing after you with free food at every club meeting.
4. You sit around on Friday night watching Netflix and worrying about your chemistry test on Monday.
You quickly mastered the art of contemplating your whole life while laying in bed watching Netflix.
5. You eat away all of your feelings.
You have come up with every excuse in the book as to why that tub of ice cream is the best idea that you've had all semester.
6. Trying to teach your study group Calculus is awful.
You pretend to have it together, but you're just as lost as the next person.
7. You sit in your 7:25 a.m. class and wish that you hadn't signed up for it.
Why did I do this to myself? There is no need to discuss the "good life" at 7:25 in the morning.
8. You walk into the club with no regrets.
9. You enjoy making fun of your best friend after her dance moves last night.
You're not going to lie, watching your friends dance is a pretty enjoyable weekday event.
10. You warn your roommates about your state before all of your morning classes.
You know that whatever comes out of your mouth in the morning for the next four months will be pure psychosis.
11. You push everyone out of your way because spring semester has you on edge.
You just can't deal with anyone because everyone is just too annoying today.
12. You complain about your sinking grades and wonder why you did this to yourself.
You only have yourself to blame.
13. You stare at all of the work that you have yet to do, contemplating your whole life.
You thought that sitting in the library would force you to do work, but the reality is that you realized that planning your wedding on Pinterest is so much more fun.
14. Your friends ask for your advice on next semester's classes.
You remind people that you should not be giving advice because you are crazy and took seventeen credit hours.
15. Finally, you remember that spring semester means spring break!
Spring break is coming!
