New York is known as the city that never sleeps and on Dec. 19 that was the case. The band Thirdstory performed their second sold-out show of the week at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The concert was at a quaint venue right over the Brooklyn Bridge in Williamsburg, N.Y. The venue opened up to a small room consisting of a 20 by 20 foot stage. All tickets were general admission and since it was a sold-out show, let me tell you, it was packed. The tiny space felt like a brutal summer day in New York instead of winter time. However, the heat didn’t bother Thirdstory's religious fans.

The night opened up with Canteen Killa, both a producer and DJ. Killa is known for pushing boundaries in his bass and hip-hop mashup tracks. You can find his tracks for free on Soundcloud. The vibe that he brought for the opening act was filled with energy, getting the fans ready for Thirdstory's performance.

Thirdstoryis known for their harmonizing covers of popular songs ranging from Taylor Swift to Drake. Recently, they have composed some original material. Three of their original songs are on iTunes and Spotify, including: "G-Train," "Searching for a Feeling" and "Grows Old."

A personal favorite of mine is G-Train. The song reflects past experiences and frustration that all three members of the band feel about trying to find love in New York. The line G-Train comes from the metaphor that they created combining the subway lines and their frustration with love in the city. The song brings together all of the instruments that creates Thirdstory's unique sound. The music video for the song came out last month and really translates the meaning of the lyrics in the way that they intended them to be translated.

The band just returned from concerts abroad in both Amsterdam and Paris, coming back to join their forces in New York City. They claimed that the city had helped them to develop their indie/R&B sound.

After leaving the concert, I felt like I was leaving a different world. The energy from both Thirdstory and the fans allowed you to enjoy, understand and really let the music take you away from reality. When Thirdstory was on stage, everyone was present. It wasn't about posting on your Snapchat Story that you were at a concert, it was about listening to the music and what Thirdstory had to say. I can tell by the way that the audience reacted to their music, it's only going to be a short time until they start breaking music charts with their original material.

Make sure to check them out on iTunes or Spotify soon so that you can stay up-to-date if they release any new songs.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
