Mothers everywhere wait in anticipation for the one weekend a year they get to relive their glory days. When spring rolls around every student cleans their room, prepares for the weekend, and puts on their game face before their moms get to town.

The weekend starts by the moms finally arriving and seeing your room for the first time in a while. They are astonished by how dirty it is (even though you just spent an hour cleaning it). Luckily, she brought her cleaning supplies and volunteers to disinfect, vacuum, and make your bed.

Your time with your mom starts by her taking you shopping because she knows how you are a "fashionista" living on a college kids budget. The shopping in college towns isn't the best but it's better than nothing.

The next thing on the itinerary is dinner with all your girls in your sorority and their moms. All the moms start talking and you pray that your friends haven't told their moms all the crazy stories from your freshman year in college.

After dinner, it is time for the moms to get their "groove on." The frat parties were not ready for these 40-year-old women but they were about to get the show of their life. You call the DD and your mom is amazed that frat boys will just pick you up and take you where you want to go. She is even more amazed by how many girls can fit into a Toyota Camry.

The DD takes you all to the party and we make our way to the drink section because everyone wants their mom to get the real college experience. You introduce your mom to all the friends you have met and she gets to see the frat where you spend the majority of your time.

The frat boys can't stop asking you if your mom is your sister just to get brownie points and by the end of the night, you realize your mom is actually cooler than you.

The next morning rolls around and you are hoping your mom is too tired to go to the events at the sorority house. Unfortunately, she has been waiting all year to meet all your sisters and see the house you are living in for the upcoming year.

After getting all ready, you head to the house and you get to introduce your mom to the girls in your chapter. After the brunch, painting, and auction it's time to say goodbye to the woman you love the most. Until next year, moms!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
