You said something the other day that really had me thinking: everyone has their somebody that they can be themselves with. While I agree, I don't think that "somebody" is just one person. This article is to all the somebodies in anyone's life.
The somebody who calls—thank you. You get what "I'm fine" means, even if we don't talk about it more then that. You don't understand how much those calls mean to me. You might have an idea, but it's nowhere close to being right.
The somebody who smiles—I don't know or remember your name, but your smile is so kind and sincere. Thank you for being so kind.
The somebody who grew up—remember how we first met? What happened that made us so different? Thank you for being in my life when you were, but let's not kid ourselves anymore. It was fun while it lasted but now we don't even wave when we cross each other. Thank you for the fun.
The somebody who stays the same—thank you for never growing up, for always remembering the inside jokes. Thank you for being the person I can always rely on no matter how long it's been since we last spoke.
The somebody who gets it—I am so happy you understand the little quirks I do and you just understand me. Thank you.
The somebody who always is prepared—thank you for always having extra anything. I wish I could think ahead and still remain organized so well. I am happy that you are always ready when I am unprepared.
The somebody who is worth it—as of right now you are the only person I see myself in, and I love that about us. We can be as goofy or as serious as we want and the conversations are never boring. I am so happy you are in my life and I can't wait to see where we go together.
The Somebodies in your life are the people who make life worth living. It doesn't matter who they are. Everyone you meet becomes a part of your life. Who knows? You might even be a Somebody to someone else.
