This is a response to 8 Things That Should Be On Everyone's Holiday To-Do List.

As fall winds down into winter, there's a lot of encouragement to spend time with your family, friends, and especially a romantic partner. The cold weather gets everyone wanting to cuddle up by the fire or stroll hand-in-hand to look at holiday light displays.

While these things are all well and good, it's easy to feel left out this time of year if you're single, or don't have as many friends as you'd like. You might feel tempted to sit out the holidays altogether, gritting your teeth until New Year's and the start of an acceptable time to "focus on you."

But the truth is: you don't have to feel excluded this winter. There's no such thing as a bad time to deepen your relationship with yourself, and the holidays is one of the most fun times to do it! Here are some festive solo date ideas to get you started:

Solo hikes are one of the most underrated ways to connect with yourself and do some internal reflection. If you're prepared to bundle up, winter offers some spectacular scenery.

Cozy up with a good book at a chill bar.

3. Bar hopping

Bars are usually thought of as a group activity, but this winter, challenge yourself to think outside the box. Bring a good book to a cozy, local joint and sip on one of your favorite cocktails. It's a lovely way to spend a night out solo.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
