So, we procrastinated. Now what?

So, we procrastinated. Now what?

Guess what I should be doing now? Writing a paper that is actually kind of important to my college career.

Exams and papers are kicking in, and I know I'm not the only one Googling ways to inhale caffeine faster than my Keurig can make it. Procrastination makes you stronger, right? At least that's what I tell myself when I look at my To-Do list. Here's a list of the ways you can make this sleepless week much more bearable.

1. Go to Kroger tonight and buy your Red Bull stock pile. It will be gone by Reading Day and then you will have to sell your kidney to your neighbor for one measly can.

2. While you're there, buy eye drops. The red, blood-shot eyes lack attractiveness, and you never know who you'll meet in a study room.

3.Make a friend with someone who has a dog. They will still love you even when you walk out of your bio-chem final in tears (I'm referring to the dog-not your friend).

4. Eat fried chicken on Tuesday. Church's Chicken has 50 cent drumsticks on Tuesdays and it will make you smile. Take this opportunity to smile. There might only be a few this week.

5. Don't study in your bed. Studies actually show that your body associates your bed with sleep (SURPRISE), so you are more likely to wake up with drool on your keyboard when working in your bed (maybe that's why my Shift key keeps sticking?).

6. Go to Mama's Boy and get a biscuit before your big final. You've already pulled an all-nighter, so that extra hour won't kill you. After eating that biscuit with jelly and poppyseed butter, you'll be smiling again (remember Chicken Tuesdays?).

7. Interval napping with your best friends will be your best friend. One person naps for 30 minutes and then gets woken up, and then it's the next person's turn to curl into a ball for a short time. It's fun. All your friends are miserable together, and you won't sleep the whole night like you promised yourself you wouldn't.

8. Don't forget to drink water. OMG I sound like my mother. All that caffeine and fried chicken will make you dehydrated, and your body will pull water from your brain, and then you have a headache that's bigger than your cumulative history exam.

9. Turn off your phone. LOL jk what about checking Instagram!? Put it on airplane mode and every hour take a five minute break and check Instagram for duck faces and improper hashtag use.

10. Have fun. Really, do it. It's the only time we don't have class, yet still have work to do. But it's also the only time when you can set your schedule without having to take a break to go to a boring lecture. Go to the botanical gardens and read your book at the pool. Maybe even go buy some fried chicken to bring to the pool with your book.

Three cheers for procrastination, late nights and college. Just think, we could be in the real world with a boss that's scarier than your English Lit professor.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
