Snowpocalypse Survival Guide For School

Snowpocalypse wins every time.

Snowpocalypse Survival Guide For School

Due to a recent spike of snow on the ground, I've decided to come up with a little list to get over you snowpocalypse stir crazy.

1. Sleds

If you don't have a sled, you can use a tote lid, a laundry basket, a sign provided by your local campus advertising a basketball game and even a garbage bag.

2. Netflix

So you can binge watch all of your favorite shows in attempt to keep from going insane.

3. Lots of Food

For the past few days I've been living off fudge rounds, peanut butter sandwiches and Cap'n Crunch, or Cap'n Clutch as I like to call it.

4. Your Phone

So you can make Snapchat videos while you sled but, make sure it's on ring in case one of your friends accidentally trucks you and it flies out of your hand and you lose it in the snow ( not speaking from experience or anything).

5. A Deck of Cards

Because nothing beats playing a game of bull crap with some of your closest friends at 1 a.m.

6. Lots of Layers

If you have to go outside or if you go sledding make sure to bundle up so you don't lose a limb to frostbite.

7. 4 Wheel Drive

There is never too much snow when all you can think about is a Cookout Tray.

8. Contacts

Nothing worse than not being able to see while sledding because you don't want to break your glasses.

9. Strong Wifi

If you don't have a good connection then how are you supposed to keep everyone updated on how much fun you're having?

10. A Comfy Bed

No better way to keep from going stir crazy than a nice nap.

11. Good Friends

Without my super great group of friends, I wouldn't have been able to make it through the storm, thanks for tagging along on one of my many adventures.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
