College snow days are truly some of the best days you will experience in college. Nothing makes a college student's day like reading that email that says, "campus will be closed today." We all remember what it was like to have a snow day in high school. Sure, you would sit at home with your parents and if you were lucky your best friend's mom might drive your BFF over so y'all can be snowed in together and have snowball fights and drink lots of hot chocolate. But even though those are some good memories, nothing quite compares to being snowed in with your college roomies and here's why.
1. There are no rules.
You can basically do whatever you want. You want to go sledding at midnight? Heck yes. Your roomies are down for whatever, whenever.
2. You can binge watch Netflix all day together.
There's nothing quite like curling up on the couch with your roomies and having a good ol' cry fest to Grey's Anatomy ... am I right?
3. You can eat all kinds of junk food.
Remember that diet you were on two days ago? Well, it doesn't count during a snow day.
4. It's basically one big sleepover.
You think when you move away from home and get a roommate it's going to be like a sleepover every night, but in reality, between going to class and work every day, that's not the case. During a snow day it's totally acceptable.
5. Playing board and card games is a must.
Because what better way to celebrate a snow day than by playing Cards Against Humanity?
In all reality there is just nothing quite like a college snow day. Whether it's for one day or three, you get to step back from the real world and be a kid again. What better way to do that is there than with your college roomies?
