One of the most interesting things is the smart phone. It must have seemed like a miracle for something like this to exist. It was invented so recently that some people today have lived part of their life during which there were no smart phones available. When smart phones started increasing in popularity, we started seeing more of them until we ended up buying one too, and we are definitely grateful that we did. Now, smart phones are an asset to the modern life.
We’ve heard that many people say that they can’t live without their phone because it is so important to them. And it is. It is a package of everything. As we know, it provides us the needs that so many other things do. With having the required app, smart phones function as cameras, game players, alarm clocks, paper mails, GPS, etc.
And when you thought it can't get any better, it can! Statista says that there’s not a thousand, not a million but a whopping “2.2 million available apps.” There’s probably an app for everything. Such a resourceful object makes our life efficient. With our package of everything, people typically use it every day. The List says that “[t]he average mobile phone user takes 150 photos a month.” People no longer carry around cameras as much as they used to, and “57% of people say they use their phone as an alarm clock. 50% no longer wear watches.”
People say that it feels weird without their phone on them. It does feel weird since when we forget our phone, we feel so out of place since we can’t do what we need to do on a day to day basis at work, school, home, everywhere. We rely on our phones so heavily that it really changed how the world functions.
Now, we’ll have to wait for the next big invention to come out. One invention is the Tesla car, and it's something that could definitely catch on. We all drive so much that it would be something that we would consider at least once. There’s the autonomous vehicle where we can drive ourselves around. It hasn’t come out yet, but it is something that can definitely become an asset to every day lives. Like CNBC says, it is reasonable to say that it “may seem like the stuff of science fiction.” For something from a science fiction movie to happen in the real world would seem miraculous, just like how the smart phone once seemed.
