Sometimes, I get so caught up with life, I forget to thank the man upstairs for all that he has given me. I can honestly say that I have been blessed with having great people touch my life everyday, the ability to live a healthy and normal life, attend college, play the sport I love at the collegiate level, and much more. I have tried to do my best at thanking God everyday for something in my life, whether the something be big or small. For example, I thank the Lord for attending college or nice weather. Thanking God everyday has made me complain less, become more grateful, and appreciative for what I have. By the combination of those three, discipline and hard work have never been a problem, which have helped me achieve more in school and sports.
Every year of my life, I can honestly say my relationship with the Lord has gotten better. I come across the Lord in different people or events. Oddly enough, church hasn't been that place, but those who attend church, regardless of religion, and have a deep understanding of what love for others is, is where I find him. Every time one of these people enters my life, they play a significant role in teaching me a lesson. Half the time, I pray for the guidance, and it always comes. The other 50% is unexpected, yet still helpful. The countless times I have almost fallen off track due to stress and having somebody to come to my aid is quite impressive. Each always bears knowledge of how to deal with the particular situation or tells some type of story to motivate me to do more.
Lastly, the best thing for me to say, at this point, is, "Thank you, Lord for what has been presented to me." I've learned through all struggles and challenges set forth in my life. Thank you for all of the positives, whether it be good weather or having great family and friends to help guide me in the right direction. Also, help guide my family, friends and even enemies to a long, enjoyable and healthy life. Most importantly, guide them to the gates of Heaven.
"God is Good"
