We are young and we are beautiful! It is a cliche line but sometimes we forget. Our youth is limited so when you go out be sure to impress yourself. Of course we have bad days where we don't want or don't care to look good, but I'm talking about the days where you have a choice between being stylish or not.
1. Be confident.
Yes, confidence is one of the most important things that anybody could have, especially in the teenage years. Often times, people confused confidence, with being conceited. Don't be conceited by thinking or acting like you are above everyone else. Be confident in yourself, be sure of yourself, and embrace yourself.
2. Don't wait until New Year to make a resolution!
Often times, we wait until New Years to make changes to our lives and daily routines. You can better yourself any time throughout the year! You can make weekly resolutions, having a set of goals you'd like to reach by the end of the week, or even monthly resolutions; things you would like to change or goals you would like to reach by the end of the month.
3. Lift others up!
Uplifting other people and those around you is also very important. When we see people, we often do not know what that person has gone through or what they're going through at that very moment. It is best to uplift them simply by giving them a little compliment about themselves. That person might have been having a rough day, and you just being kind to them or a little simple compliment, might change around their entire day. Empower and uplift others!
4. Embrace and Love yourself!
Those words are always easier said then done. Society has tried to brainwash us with what their definition of beauty is, or what it should be, which often time makes it hard for us to love ourselves. We shouldn't let society dictate to us what is beautiful. Everyone is so different and unique, that is exactly what makes us beautiful! The fact that we are all different in our own ways and we each have our own flaws. Embracing and loving your flaws, is most of the time, very hard to do. Flaws is what makes us who we are and it is what makes us unique. Society tells us that we should not love our flaws, and sometimes being different is a bad thing. Embrace your flaws, love it and own it!
I hope that my article has helped you in some way. It is always hard to be confident and to love yourself, especially when there are people that try to define what beauty is and what it should look like. There is no real definition on beauty, and what you need to look like to be beautiful. We are all beautiful! we will continue to Slay Everyday!
