A target-holic can be defined as someone who frequently shops at the store, Target, the second largest discount retailer in the United States. Target can be described as a black hole to those who love it. You enter the store and barely make it out with a penny in your pocket. A target-holic understands your struggle. If you find yourself relating to these points, welcome to the club.
1. You walk around the store just to get your "Target fix."
First things first, why we go into Target with no intention to buy anything sounds silly. Why do you go to a store if you aren't going to shop, you ask? Because Target is similar to an art gallery. You go to walk around and check out the merchandise. You feel comfortable and at ease by just walking around and looking at the displays. It's kind of like a weird therapy.
2. You know exactly where everything you need is located in the store.
You have the Target road map memorized. You can walk into the store blind and find exactly what you need. What is this sorcery? It's called memorization. You spend so much time in Target that you know where each department is located and what you can find there. The clothing sale items are in the back left corner, across from the shoes, right?
3. You have your eye on something and wait around until it goes on sale.
You basically know that if it's full price now, by next season it'll be on sale. The 30, 50 and 70 percent off racks cycle through every week. You see a green sweater that is to die for, but it's not worth the full price. Two weeks later? 30 percent off. Enough of a sale to me.
4. You end up returning back several times throughout the month to buy things you should've bought the first trip.
So, you leave the store with a few things you didn't plan on buying. You find yourself thinking back to that lipstick you had your eye on. It would look perfect with your outfit for date night on Friday. So, what's one more trip to Target? I mean, it's only 5 more dollars?
5. You prefer Target brands over any other retail store.
From Threshold to Up & Up, from Simply Balanced to Market Pantry, Target brands become something that you don't even notice anymore. The brands become apart of your day to day life before you know it. Once you go Target, you never go back.
6. You enter the store planning on buying two things and you leave with 30.
It's the Target magic. That's all I can say.
Expect more, pay less.
