Here are six reason why dogs are the best pets to have. They are just so happy and who doesn't love a dog?
1. Dogs are playful.
Seriously have you ever met a dog that didn’t want to play with you even for a little bit? Even my dog that is 10 years old still greets me at the door and wants to play. Tennis balls, squeaky toys, shoes, you name it, and a dog will probably play with it. And playing with a dog or a puppy doesn’t bring you joy then you might be heartless.
2. Dogs are also really good with kids.
Since dogs are super playful, they play well with little kids. When I was born, the husky my family had at the time knew to be extra careful around me. Nobody had to teach him that I was a sensitive little baby that he had to be careful around. They know when its playtime and they also know when to cuddle up and take a nap with kids. Seriously, puppies and babies cuddled up together is the sweetest sight.
3. Dogs are so protective.
Seriously, I can’t think of another pet that will protect you and your family if someone strange is approaching your home. Dogs have a heightened sense of hearing and smell; therefore they can hear someone approaching before you can. A dog’s bark can not only alert you that someone sketchy is near, but will probably scare off said sketchy person as well. I don’t think a cat or a fish as a pet would do these things.
4. Dogs will run and walk with you.
You can’t take other pets on walks or runs. Dogs need as much exercise as humans so its good for you to take them on walks as well. They make really amazing running partners. If something were to happen to you while you were running, a dog would stay with you. Dogs really are the most amazing pets to have.
5. You can teach a dog.
Most cats I know don’t come to you when you call their name, and neither do fish, gerbils, or really any other pet other than a dog. Dogs learn so well. You can teach them to sit, to fetch, and to play with you. This goes along with dogs being playful. Dogs also can be taught to let you know when they have to use the bathroom, which is awesome if you ask me. You can teach a dog more advanced things like how to play dead and roll over. Seriously it doesn’t get more perfect than that.
6. Lastly, dogs are the most loyal pets.
I have never met a dog that wasn’t loyal to its owner. Dogs are great because of how loyal they are. Dogs love their owners unconditionally and do anything to save and protect their owners. They don’t have to be taught how to love because they already know how. That is the greatest part of dogs. They are seriously the most perfect pets to get, I’m not sure why you’d want to adopt any other animal.
