Instagram is one of the most popular forms of social media used in the world today, and Greek women have become professional Instagrammers. From pictures of beautiful food to Happy Mother's Day posts, we all know the joy that likes can bring to our lives, even though we may hate to admit it. Instagram has become a way to document our lives through pictures, and as Sorority women, we love taking pictures.
So here are just a few of the photos you can find on almost every Sorority girl's Instagram. And no, my friends, we are not ashamed.
1. The Classic "Throw What You Know"
We can't be ashamed to throw what we know. Half the fun of being in a sorority can be found in "throwing what we know" and we are proud of it. If you can master the hand sign, it's only fitting to post photo evidence.
2. The "21st Birthday"
'Tis the season of 21st birthdays and 21st birthday signs. 21st birthday signs have become an art form, and they deserve to be shared with the world.
3. The "My Little/Big is Perfect"
It may be a well-known fact that we all happen to have the most perfect Big and Little. If there is not photograph evidence of such, then it must not be true.
4. The "Family Photo"
We all love our fam bams! This one is self explanatory. Our sorority families are our families away from our family. There is no doubt about it; they become our rocks and our best friends once we transition into both the Greek and college worlds. If anyone deserves to be "grammed," it's the fam.
5. The "Formal-ity"
We are all guilty of posting an after formal picture. We are also all guilty of posting the picture in which we look our best (sorry friends) and quite possibly bragging on our date (whether or not they were actually a great date). In any case, this year's trending caption was "Formal-ities," clever right? Don't be ashamed, we were all thinking of using it.
6. The "We Survived...."
This shows photo evidence that said "Grammer" is in fact still alive after enduring what may be SB2K15 or simply Finals Week. The truth is, most of our friends and family back home might still be wondering if we had survived, if a picture had not been posted. The fact that you survived is reason enough to post a picture and it's a great way to let mom know that you are still alive.
Besides, pics or it didn't happen. Am I right?
