(Legit) Reasons to be Single

Okay, before I begin, I know that there are some questions that need answer and explanation so here we go. First off, last week article, which was supposed to be about the program "ETA4" that I love so much was nowhere to be found. Here is what I have to say. So like, there was... aliens... and zombies, everywhere... and like, power rangers. Okay, okay, truth is, I got caught up in a lot of events and couldn't finish it so right now, it's still just a rough draft that I am so going to work on it in a very very near future. No promises though... Next, the reason why this article came before the one about ETA4 is that I sorta have writer's block and just want to write something funny and light-heart right now. Beside, I figure that people would relate to this and kinda forget about me slacking on that article (I mean, I can totally relate to this. I am so single that the hotel won't let me book a double). Without further a due, here are the (totally, most absolutely legit) reasons to be single.

1. Single, but so not ready to mingle.

I hate it when people act like being single is the worst thing. Okay, admittedly, I sometimes (okay often...but not that much...yeah...) complaint about being single but that doesn't mean you can just talk to me about how terrible being single is, and how I'm probably really lonely and going to die. Alone. Forever. Like, excuse you, I'm just not ready to be in a relationship right now. And what do you mean "lonely?" I have no time to be lonely with 18 credits and 3 jobs. Sorry "lonely" but my schedule is tight and you'll have to wait till... maybe 20 years later when I achieved everything that I ever dreamed of.

Speaking of schedule, this is why I am so not ready to be in a relationship. I'm sorry, you're hell of a cute but I just don't have time to go on dates. My dates are already booked with my tutors, instructors, and adviser. Why? Because I have 18 credits and a date, with destiny, the one where I become successful so ciao!

2. I am waiting for the right person.

As you can see, I am a busy, hardworking person who has been slacking on an article for 2 weeks. Therefore, time is precious to me. I can't just go out and date anybody that I find attractive. I mean, I'm not Ted from "How I met your mother." I don't have 9 years to just confess my undying love to a random strangers in New York City (most certainly do not want to torture my kid(s) with a 9 seasons non-stop marathon either). Thus, I would rather take my time on other important aspects of life, like anime and Netflix for instant!

Ted, I love you a lot but you seriously need to chill. What do you think this is? The Bachelor?

Also, think about it, how many of your exes are psychos or secretly a serial killer? Imagine you're watching the new when suddenly your ex's name pops up, being the main suspect of a serious incident. Like, hey kids, I used to date that creepy kidnapper clown... ah good memories...

3. I am in a committed relationship... with myself.

I mean, I have many nice times with myself. I give me treats, games, books and many nice things without spoiling myself too much. Also, I kinda stuck with me so break up is not a viable option either, which is why it's best to just try and value myself. After all, how can you love someone if you don't love yourself? And loving myself means that I respect me enough to wait for the best person, and to spend time doing the things I love. Love yourself enough to be okay with being single, until it is better to be mingle.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
