It Is Okay To Be SIngle Right Now

You should not worry about not being in a relationship.

It Is Okay To Be SIngle Right Now

If you took a look at my dating history over the last few years, there is really not a whole lot there. I know that at this time in my life, I should be going out more or at least start dating a bit more than I already do. However, with my life as it is, I really find it impossible to be in a relationship or to even go on a date with all the other commitments in my life. However, it was thinking about this stuff that made me realize that is okay if you are single right now.

One reason that I am okay being single is the fact that I know I really cannot commit to being in a relationship right now. Still going to school and working multiple jobs, I find it really hard to pull together enough time for an actual relationship. I know that if I tried to be in a relationship right now, I would cause nothing but problems because I could not commit any time to it. When I get into a relationship, I like to really commit myself to it so I can make the relationship work. If I cannot commit to a relationship right now, it would not be a good idea to do that at this point in my life. The thing there is that I am okay with that.

Another point is that while in college, you should be taking that time to learn about yourself, not worrying about being close to the adult world and still single. During this time, you will meet a lot of people that you make a connection with. These people will shape you as a person and help you learn about what you really want out of your life. College is the perfect time to be learning more about yourself, so it is a good idea to take the time to focus on yourself. That's not to say that you should not try to date or find a relationship during this time, but you have your whole life to find someone to be with. Better to take advantage of the time you have to yourself now before you enter the work world.

Being single does not mean that you have no relationships with anyone at all. We all have some friends with whom we make deep connections, those connections are relationships with other people. Take the time to really value the relationships you have with friends. Sure, you may not be in a romantic relationship with one person right now, it is important to realize that we have relationships with others.

For right now, do not sweat it if you are not dating anyone at the moment. Sure, it would be nice to find that one person you are meant to be with (or just dating and seeing what works for you), but being single does not have to be a bad thing. Just enjoy life right now and you will see that things will work out in the future.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
