My dearest future little,
Hey girl, what's up? *cue lyrics to "Break Up With Him"*
This is crazy... I've been preparing goodies for you all summer yet you could've passed by me on the street today and I wouldn't have had a clue, pretty weird, huh? But what's really cool is that someone who I don't even know exists right now is someone I already love so much, how cool is that?
So you agree? You think this is really cool, right? (If you didn't read this in Regina George's voice I may or may not be judging you.....just kidding. Well, maybe.)
OK, not maybe. Naturally, I have a habit of sliding "Mean Girls" quotes into everyday conversations, this you may have to get used to.
Anyways, I hope you know how much I'm gonna love the sh*t out of you and how excited I am to shower you with Chi O presents and love. I also hope you know how vital it is that you encourage cookout milkshake consumption at any time of the day (you may not fit in with the fam otherwise).
Although four days of me showering you with presents sounds is awesome. There's so much I'll have to offer you that can't fit into a cardinal and straw basket.
Obviously, joining a sorority you're probably interested in discovering the benefits and beauty of sisterhood. I can't wait to show you the true meaning of sisterhood and how great it is to be involved with Greek life in college. I hope you understand how #blessed you are to be part of the nest and strut around campus wearing an "X" and a horseshoe.
You'll have so many new experiences in college and cultivate many new friendships. Chances are, some may last and some might fade, but sisterhood is forever (as cheesy as that sounds). The best part is that you'll have an instant connection with hundreds of girls, just because you're both a Chi O! They'll automatically laugh at your jokes and understand you on a whole other level that others won't.
But through those all the friendships whether they lasting forever or forgotten about after first semester, I'll always be there for you. I'll always be there to listen to any problem whether it's big or small with a judgment free shoulder to cry on. I know you will make mistakes and there will be a collection of regrettable nights. And while these are the stories I look forward to hearing about most, I will be there to listen to you vent when you feel like no one else is there for you. After all, that's a mom's real job, right?
Not to worry, I can be a responsible mom some of the time but the majority of the time I'll probably just be embarrassing you with my awkward life stories or subpar flip cup skills.
Wow, just think of all plethora of fun things you have to look forward to!
Can't wait to finally meet you soon!
XOXO,
Gossip Girl
(or maybe just your future Big)
