Have you ever found yourself exhilarated in the presence of a four-legged loved one? I’m talking about when you soar from a one to a 10 on the happy scale as soon as you see that little tail start to wag. It’s scientifically proven that dogs, can be healthy for us in numerous ways. Their combination of cute and cuddly, silly yet intelligent demeanor is noted for elevating human moods, even serving as a stress reducer which lowers our blood pressure. But maybe your friends have noticed your furry fixation is a bit over the top. It’s possible you’re a “crazy” dog person. Here are some signs:
1. You're obsessed with every dog you see
Whether walking, looking out a window, or driving by in a car, you interrupt your conversation with someone by screaming, “Oh my gosh, look at that dog!” or “Aw, look at that dog.” Others should not be alarmed. This is an appropriate reaction simply because dogs are the cutest four-legged creatures to look at. They deserve to be admired and praised, especially for the beauty, love and patience they bring to the world.
2. There are more pictures of dogs on your phone than anything else
3. You're more likely to wave at a dog than a human
You’re in public, chatting with acquaintances. Suddenly, you notice a dog in the distance. You slowly start working your way closer. On the way, you wave and say “hello” to another dog who happens to be walking her owner and speak in an excited baby voice. (Yes, it happens)
4. Adopting a house full of dogs sounds better than kids
When your peers talk about meeting the right partner, getting married and having children, you declare your commitment to one day providing your home to numerous dogs you expect to adopt.
5. Dressing up your dog is overly satisfying
You dress your dog in fashionable clothes -- maybe even matching outfits. There are a variety of winter coat, sweater and snowsuit styles for the cooler seasons. Although I don’t know how I feel about other apparel, there are a host of options, including pajamas and swimwear. Let’s not forget the wide selection of Halloween costumes. Your dog can dress up as a ballerina in a tutu or as a pirate -- argh! At the very least, you purchase a matching collar and leash.
If you found yourself relating to any of the five signs, you’re probably human, maybe even a “crazy dog person.” Dogs are adorable, plain and simple. They are also intellectual creatures with strong cognitive abilities So, let loose with your furry friend. Show the excitement and take as many dog selfies as your heart desires.
