If you're mom is your best friend, I bet you already know it, but in case you don't, here are some tell tale signs. My mom is my best friend and these are all absolutely and 100 percent true for us!
You can tell her anything.
Every conversation you have with her is informing her of every detail of your life so she can be up to date for the next time you need advice, which is probably in five minutes. From what classes you're worried about passing to the number of boys that grabbed your butt at the last party, you can tell her everything that has happened in your life thus far, and I bet she would gladly hear it! She wants to know everything, every minute detail (in my experience).
You think she's the cutest thing you've ever seen.
When she's asking you how to post a picture on Instagram and you just laugh at how silly and adorable she is. She's basically a puppy that follows you around and whines when it doesn't understand something. And you love it.

She taught you everything you know.
It all started with walking and escalated quickly to swearing. Everything you knew, up to the point you began attending school, you learned from her. Even after learning algebra, world history, and chemistry, subjects that she could never help you with, you still learned from her. She taught you how to tell the good people from the bad and she taught you how to fend for yourself in our crazy world.
She aids you in times of emotional turmoil.
When your high school love breaks your heart, she's there with Oreos and tissues to help mend the wound. Or when you got a C on an exam that you studied your butt of for, and she hugs the crap out of you long enough for you to forget why you were crying. She supports your every decision, except for when the option you choose is stupid.
She would kill for you, literally.
She's threatened multiple people who have tried to hurt you, emotionally or physically. You'll always be her baby and you like it that way. Anyone who tries to keep you away from her or harm you in any way will feel that wrath of motherly love.
You have the same sense of humor.
You like the same comedies because you laugh at the same scenes in every one. You have countless inside jokes about the silliest things. One look can cause a giggling fit that will last half an hour before someone forces it to stop. Laughing together is one of your favorite past-times!
Her advice means the most to you.
Sometimes the laughter turns into motherly advice, which you pretend to dread, but you know it will come in handy in the future. It will forever amaze you how she can, so quickly, turn a fun day into a learning experience. When eating snow cones at the park morphs into a lesson on protecting yourself from strangers. (How could this possibly be connected?)
She knows you better than you know yourself.
Sometimes you cry for no apparent reason and she knows exactly whats wrong, even before you've spoken a word on the subject. Her voice soothes you and lulls you to sleep, creating a comforting environment for her baby. My mom always said, "I brought you into this world, and I can take you out.", which used to scare me. But I realized that's actually just a compliment because it means that I am a part of her. I am lucky to have the mother I do; she's decided to keep me!
