Most of us have more than a few friends that we like to call "the best"; some might even begin calling their friends their brothers and sisters. However, there are certain occurences and moments in friendships that should be considered rights of passage into the Friendship Hall of Fame, and these are them:
1. Boundaries? Nope
The boundaries that existed when you first started out as friends are no longer a possibility because you've become so comfortable with one another that being curious just seems insulting at this point.
2. You've seen the bad times...
You've seen one another at your very worst. There are moments in our lives that we do not want to share with everyone, but if your friend chooses you to confide in and to be with in their time of need, you know you're doing something right.
3. ...But you've been there for the good.
You've also seen each other at your very best! You are one another's biggest cheerleaders and you play the proud mom/dad role when their parents aren't readily available.
4. Borderline Telepathy
You know exactly what one another are thinking. You don't even have to talk about it anymore, you just give one another a quick look and realize you're definitely on the same page.
5. You're basically family
You're family is their family and vice versa. You've both integrated each other to the point where you miss their pets as much as you miss your own and you teared up when you say bye to their mom after spending a week at their house for fall break.
6. You keep each other in check
You tease one another and call them out on their sh*t because if you don't do it, who will? And you both appreciate that the other one cares enough to keep you in line.
7. You love each other...a lot.
You know deep down that your friend will be there for you, even when you royally mess up. The most embarrassing and horrible moments in your life are well known by one another, but at the end of the day, you are both human and make mistakes and those mistakes pale in comparison to all of the wonderful things about you.
