Living in a small town in the South is more than just where you live, it's how you live your life. Every small town has it's own little quirks that make it special. Simpsonville is no exception to the rule of these small town quirks and these are just a few that people that have grown up in Simpsonville can relate to.

1. You know what high school someone went to just by the way they act.

You can tell if someone went to Hillcrest, Woodmont, or Mauldin, just trust me.

2. You know that the Hillcrest-Mauldin football game is basically a county wide holiday.

Honestly, the rivalry comes pretty close to as intense as a Clemson-Carolina game

3. Anyone who's anyone is going to be seen at the Christmas parade.

Bonus points if you're actually in the parade

4. After a football game, you and your squad could always be found at Sonic.

It's a must to roll your windows down and blast music when you're pulling in and when you're leaving

5. You swear that the Ice Cream Station has the best ice cream in the world.

And let's be honest, they actually do

6. You've spent multiple nights at Walmart when there was nothing else to do

You've either gone with a group of friends and wandered around the store until you were threatened to get kicked out or you sat in the parking lot and hung out for hours

7. You've definitely eaten more than your fair share of meals at Coach House

They have literally everything and it's so good

8. Freedom Weekend Aloft was second to Christmastime when it came around

RIP

9. You can't even count how many times you've used the Clock Tower filter on Snapchat

Be honest, you use it

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
