Winter Break has come to an end and you've already trekked back to your campus. Your classes have started and you're already regretting your decision to take an 8am class. But despite your lack of judgement in creating a good schedule you're still determined to kick butt this semester. Here are 12 signs that your semester has started.
1. You're the only one in the library.
The library during syllabus week and the library during finals week are at two opposite ends of the spectrum.
2. It's back to the fast food life for you.
You're reunited with your favorite fast food joints that you don't have back in your hometown.
3. Winter break is just a distant memory. The excitement of the holiday season is behind you.
See you next year, Santa!
4. You're looking forward to spring break way more than you should be.
Despite the lack of concrete plans you have for this break, you just know it is going to be good. Also, you may or may not have a countdown going.
5. You can feel your procrastination tendencies creeping back up again.
Procrastination is like being stuck in quick-sand.
6. Your desk is covered in a mix between new school supplies for this semester and old notebooks from last semester.
7. You just spent all of your money on textbooks and you're not even sure if the professor will even use them.

Curse the professors who do this!
8. Trying to detect the amount you can slack off in class while still pleasing the professor.
In short, is the reading necessary?
9. Reunions with roommates, friends and professors.
Hugs all around!
10. You arrive to class 15 minutes early so that you can claim your seat, hoping eventually no one will dare sit there because they know it's yours.
Back off this seat is mine.
11. All of your BistroBucks / Dining Dollars have been replenished and it's time for all the Starbucks you can drink...until you run out again.
If you're anything like me, then it won't take too long!
12. You're feeling pretty confident about this semester...though it's most likely because none of your professors have actually gotten to the important stuff yet.
Good luck this semester!
