Everyone knows that one person who can't stand when things in their rooms are moved around and not in their "specific place." When trying to figure out if you or anyone else in your life is considered a neat freak consider the following characteristics
1. Having a cleaning schedule
A lot of people plan times on when they are going to clean their rooms or cars, but having a specific time and day to clean can be a sign of being a neat freak.
2. Keeping things in the same place
when people think of people who are obsessed with being organized, they picture having things lined up perfectly on their desk or in a drawer which is true, but not always the case. People can be neat freaks even if things aren't perfectly lined up, they just need to have a specific home that they always need to be in.
3. Getting upset when things are moved
When someone is a freak with keeping their things organized, they won't be happy when their things are moved. All of their stuff has their specific place and if you borrow or move something, make sure it goes back in the same exact spot you got it from or else.
4. Trying to clean your friends' spaces
This can be seen easily in dorm rooms when your roommate is obsessed with things being clean. If your roommate tries to clean up your space or gives you advice on keeping your side clean, they most likely are just being a nice roommate, but they also could be hinting the fact that your side of the room isn't up to their "tidy" standards (even thought you may think it looks fine.
5. Avoiding messy places
Everyone knows that neat freaks hate messes, making them avoid messes at all costs (unless they are cleaning it). Getting trapped in messy places is the worst punishment any neat freak could imagine.
