The funnier version of 'The Office' (please don't kill me), Parks and Recreation will never fail to make you laugh. Though Parks and Recreation has the same producers as The Office, the characters are way more lovable and entertaining. You'll probably end up finishing all seven seasons in two weeks and then feel empty inside for a bit.

The original 'Parks and Recreation." The Office lives up to all its hype. The awkward, deadpan humor is an acquired taste that you will eventually fall for.

Orange is the New Black

If you enjoy crass humor and can handle seeing graphic content fairly often, OITNB is probably your cup of tea. Every actor on the show does a phenomenal job of portraying their character, and the crazy storylines and plot twists will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Black Mirror is set in a modern universe where technology takes over human lives. The tone of the show is dark and chilling, and the show will probably have you questioning everything you thought you once knew.

This lighthearted, family show is about a boy named Sam who is on the spectrum and struggles to fit in to with his peers. It not only deals with his struggles but the troubles that his parents and sister go through to understand him and help him live a normal life.

A Netflix original, the show entails the story of Steven Avery, a man exonerated after being wrongfully imprisoned for 18 years, only to be arrested two years later for an unrelated crime. The show sheds light on the functionality of crime cases and exposes the corruption in the justice system.

A show centered around a woman who escapes an underground bunker after 10 years, Unbreakable will have you laughing and questioning half the lines that come out of the characters' mouths. Written and produced by none other than Tina Fey, every episode is filled with clever references and absurd jokes that are bound to make you laugh.

The show revolves around a nurse, Jackie Peyton, who abuses prescription drugs and how this affects her family, co-workers, and her own mental and physical health. The show is a dark comedy that shows the chilling effects of abusing drugs and its inevitable outcome.

New Girl

New Girl is another comedy with a hilarious set of characters and an odd storyline in every episode. The show is centered around a happy-go-lucky woman named Jess who moves into an apartment shared by three other men. Together, they form a strong, yet strange, unbreakable friendship.

This is another dark-comedy TV show centered around the life of a suburban mother who loses her husband and supports her family by getting involved in the marijuana business. Accompanied by gangs, sex, and violence, this show is wild from start to finish.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything.
