College can feel very stressful or overwhelming at times. As the semester progresses, more tests, papers and projects will begin to arise. Eventually, you may want to take a break from all that work and just relax for a bit. When that happens, here is a list of some noteworthy shows to watch on Netflix.

1. Life Unexpected

This show is about a teen girl who lived in foster care her whole life. When she decides to get emancipated, she ends up meeting her birth parents. It is a great show to watch if you want to watch something quickly because it is only two seasons. It has a more unique storyline and has a satisfying ending to the show.

2. Freaks and Geeks

This show depicts different types of people in high school as they deal with various adolescent problems. It is only one season, so it is another show that is quick to get through. The show has been out for a long time now, but it is still worth the watch. Also, there are some famous actors in it such as James Franco, Seth Rogen and Jason Segel.

3. Shameless

This show is about the Gallagher family. It is centered around six children that learn to take care of themselves after their mother left and their father became an alcoholic. The show is the perfect balance of being serious and funny. It is more of a time commitment to watch since there are six seasons on Netflix and the show is still going on. Plus, the show seems to be gaining popularity as I keep hearing more and more people talking about it.

4. White Collar

This show is about a white-collar criminal that agrees to help the FBI catch other white-collar criminals. It is a funny show that deals with different crimes in each episode, while also having long on-going storylines throughout. White Collar is also a time commitment with six seasons.

5. Bates Motel

This show is a prequel to the film “Psycho,” showing how Norman Bates became the man he was. It is creepy, suspenseful and intriguing. Not to mention that the acting is very well done. The fourth season of this show was recently added to Netflix.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
