While in the midst of finals, study breaks are necessary and procrastination is unavoidable. My favorite way to escape studying is by binge watching whatever I can find on Netflix. Here are some of the best shows to watch on Netflix when you should probably be studying instead.
1. "Jane the Virgin"
This 40-minute-long mock telenovela will leave you on the edge of your seat after each episode. This show is funny, witty, and smart with characters you'll fall in love with. It's the perfect show to finish an entire season in a day.
2. "Friends"
This is an obvious pick, but one of the best. You can easily lose track of time and responsibility while watching episode after episode.
3. "How I Met Your Mother"
With so many seasons you can work through all these episodes over the entire finals week. You can also spend a lot of time procrastinating by trying to determine which HIMYM character you are most like. I'm a Robin.
4. "Friday Night Lights"
This drama will totally get you hooked. Tim Riggins himself can be quite the distraction.
5. "Grey's Anatomy"
Because watching a medical drama for hours is kind of like studying for bio, right?
6. "30 Rock"
I think during the stress of finals we can all relate with Liz Lemon a little bit.
7. "Gilmore Girls"
We want to be smart and ambitious Rory, but can be more like a resting Lorelei. Either way, this sweet TV show based on the best mother daughter relationship ever will keep you busy for hours.
8. "Dexter"
This show is a little more serious but very suspenseful. It can be scary, but not as scary as the calc 3 final you're avoiding studying for.
9. "Psych"
This witty comedy about fake psychic Shawn Spencer will have you enthralled from one crime scene to the next.
10. "Freaks And Geeks"
This cult classic features stars before they were stars like James Franco and Seth Rogan. The only downside to this one is that theres only one season. That also makes it perfect to knock out on a reading day.
11. "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"
This Netflix original is quirky and will have you laughing out loud.
If all these options don't meet your binging needs, don't forget about gems like "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation." Happy studying!!
