Listening to music is addicting. You can connect to an artist through their music. The lyrics of a song can speak to you when you do not know how else to feel. Finding the right song to fit your mood can help to express your emotions. Music can be used to improve your mood and because of this, listening to music every day can also be a way to reduce more serious health conditions like depression, anxiety, and stress.

It is no surprise that music can help to reduce depression and anxiety, as the right song can instantly put you in a better mood. However, in a world where many people are struggling with these health issues on a daily basis, it can be hard to find a cure for these common mental health issues. Stress is also part of our everyday lives and it can build up to cause health problems like high blood pressure, obesity, headaches, or gastrointestinal problems. Listening to music can then be an easy solution to help reduce the depression, anxiety, and stress that occurs in your daily life.

Listening to music has been found to have many health benefits. In a study conducted by the National Institutes of Health, it was found that listening to music can reduce stress levels and also improves the health of the nervous system. When you are stressed, your levels of a hormone called cortisol increase, causing you to feel the extreme effects of stress such as increased heart rate, sweating, or fast breathing. When listening to music, you can reduce your heart rate and focus on your breathing, which also decreases the levels of cortisol in your body.

Music has also been found to be a treatment for physical pain. According to the study Music as Medicine by American Psychological Association, it was found that listening to music is more effective to reduce pain and anxiety than prescription drugs before surgery. It was also discovered that listening to music each day can improve your health, as it can strengthen your immune system and reduces stress.

The effects of listening to music have also been found to be treatments for physical illness. Listening to music when physically ill can help when accepting illness and also helps in the body’s healing process. Music therapy called vibroacoustic therapy, which is similar to the vibrations of a subwoofer, can help reduce the symptoms of diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, fibromyalgia, and depression. The rhythm of music can also be used to reduce forgetfulness in those with Alzheimer’s disease, as the rhythm of music is often familiar and repetitive.

In a world where music is available in all genres, finding a kind of music that speaks to you is easy. You should listen to music every day, as it can help to improve your health, reduce stress, and also improves your overall mood, which can prevent more serious health problems in the future.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
