Short Girl Advantages: Six Reasons Why Being Short Rules

We have all read and heard of short girl problems, and how it must suck to be under the average height, but what people do not dare to do is reach beyond the part that is not so great, to find things that rock about being below five foot two. I, a human of five feet exactly, will take that challenge and shed some positive light on the short people community of the world, and how it is actually easier to be smaller.

1. Buying clothes from the youth section. Yup, I still do this, and you know what rocks about it? It is at least ten dollars cheaper than the rest of the clothing options. Of course, it is a children's extra large, but it still does the job and is lighter on my wallet.

2. Youthfulness lingers around a lot longer. Being short, people assume that I could not be already well into my college years, which is totally fine because one day when I am bordering the age of 30 or 40, I will rely on this assumption to lift my spirits.

3. Faster walking abilities. Since my legs, and many others who are around the same height as me, are probably pretty short, I am forced to keep up with my long legged friends whose leisure stroll is actually a fast walk, or almost a jog for me, so through the years I have learned to really pump these legs of mine and keep up with the best of them.

4. Making friends easier. I don't know about everyone else but being little for me is just an invitation for taller people to use my shoulder as an armrest and that just creates friendship right there. Another way we make friends is when I have to ask the taller people at clothing stores to get something down for me, and then we just start talking about how cute the shirt is that I want to buy that they helped me reach.

5. Almost anything we do is pretty much a workout. The fast walking is a workout, the getting on our tiptoes to reach things, the jumping to also try and reach things, the always stretching to reach things. So really all the ways we try to get to things that we are just not meant to get to.

6. Literally no guy is too short. You see, some girls will only date guys taller, and that tends to be a problem for some of my friends, but shorty over here has a wide range of people, because almost everybody is taller than me.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
