I am a huge Shawn Mendes and Charlie Puth fan so when I heard they would be touring together this summer, I was thrilled. Being the fangirl I am, I asked if I could go to the closest show to my state. My 21st rolled around and there was the ticket information for July 31st Nashville show. I am still excited, finally getting to see both of them in concert!
Plus the following weeks, after my March birthday, Charlie and Shawn released new music! Not just in the same month but the same day!
Shawn Mendes kicked off his Illuminate World Tour on April 27 in Glasgow, United Kingdom with special guest,James TW, who also released a new single, "EX" and the official music video earlier this year. Their tour dates are out of the States, April 27 through June 2 for a final show in London, United Kingdom.
After a month off, Shawn will be starting up the middle part of the tour, United States dates with special guest, Charlie Puth. On July 6 in Portland, Oregon thru August 23 in Boston, Massachusetts. Taking a few weeks off, Shawn will finish the final stretch of his tour in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil thru December 18 in Tokyo, Japan.

There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back by Shawn and Attention by Charlie have both got some major attention since they released. Both tracks are catchy and hard not to play on repeat!
According to Charlie's social media posts, fans knew he had been in the studio for long hours since January. So when the music finally arrived on April 20th, we all knew it was going to be a hit. Shortly after that, the excitement still at an all time high, Charlie dropped the official music video on April 24th. This is only the beginning of album number 2 for him!

Shawn released his new hit single on April 20th, the beginning of his upcoming music, with a lyric video on YouTube. In a Billboard comment, Shawn said this about his reason for releasing a new song before his tour, "The minute I wrote this song I knew I wanted to get it out before my tour started, to give fans something new and fresh in addition to everything from Illuminate."
