No, perv... I meant 1D as in One Direction. You know... the super cool boy band full of Brits and Irish boys that has taken over the heart of almost every girl aged 8-to-18 in the entire world? (plus the few 20 year olds, such as myself, who secretly know every word to every single album).

Well, this past weekend at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD, this bunch of 20-something-year-old heartthrobs stole yet another show on their world tour. And lucky me, sat Row 19 Seat 14 at this life-changing concert.

Now, I've never been one to follow the crowd when it comes to celebrity crushes or the latest trend, and I'm not sure if it even counts in this case since I'm about five years too late getting in on this one, but I can tell you for sure that the concert this past weekend had me losing my voice along with 40,000 other screaming preteens praising these TV show contestants-gone-gods.

One Direction is not just another boy band. This group of Fab Five turned Fab Four is more than just a talented group of musicians, they are an icon. In the last five years, they have been more successful than any of them could have ever expected. Now I might be just a tad bit bias considering that the key to my heart is any boy who can tap into that falsetto, but these guys have got talent, and a lot of it.

So when tragic news came that Zayne, one of the five heartthrobs would be leaving the group this past March, girls everywhere were devastated. But even the loss of one of their band members, an event that some say falsifies their name, One Direction (lol), couldn't "drag these boys down". The boy band trudged on to release one of their most successful hits yet.

Their latest single Drag Me Down has now hit number one on the charts in over 80 countries after selling over 350 thousand copies in its first week, now I'd say that's a bit of an accomplishment. I wonder how Zayne's feeling now...

So I'll tell you one more time, if you haven't given these four guys from the UK a chance yet, do it, before it's too late. And if you are like me, stop hiding the fact that you secretly can't get enough of 1D, and tell the world. No matter how socially unacceptable it might seem, I promise you'll thank me.
