Just Because He Paid For Dinner Does Not Mean He Deserves To Sleep With You

You are never obligated to have sex with him, no matter what he says.

Just Because He Paid For Dinner Does Not Mean He Deserves To Sleep With You
Allef Vinicius

I've heard it before and been in similar situations myself - you know, the ones where a guy is genuinely upset with you because you wouldn't give him what he wanted. Whether it was pictures, sex, or something along those lines; I've heard it all. A girl will come back from a date all upset, hurt, and defeated after being left to feel useless when she couldn't meet a man's (or shall we say, less than a man's) standard of what a first date (or any date entails).

While I won't sit here and preach about when sex is appropriate, I will, however, say that it is NEVER appropriate when perceived as a means of "breaking even". No one ever OWES you sex (or pictures, etc.). And I'm so sick of girls being treated as an object that you take from as you please and as you're owed.

Men - hear this. If you are bold enough to assume your date, girlfriend, etc. owes you a night, or if you think you deserve it, then by no means do you deserve the woman you're speaking to, dating, or flirting with. Likewise, you are nowhere near the man you may think you are. Because a man protects and is patient. A boy destroys and takes what isn't his.

So girls, refuse to let men make you feel useless when they're desires are let down. THEY'RE the ones that are useless in your life. And men, stop expecting things and inquiring things from women who shouldn't even have to put up with you. Sex is something intimately and lovingly given. It's not a check or tip that you owe someone, so lets stop treating it like it is.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
