Editors are a special breed of people. Editors are very dedicated to making their work and their team's work the best it can be. Sometimes editors are stereotyped as nerdy, over-the-top, and too busy. Most of the editors I know are kind, intelligent, enthusiastic, dedicated and the complete opposite of the stereotypes society places upon editors. Here are seven reasons why you should date an editor.

1. We always go the extra mile.

If editors are willing to go the extra mile for just one three-hundred-word article imagine what an editor would do if that editor was dating you?

2. Editors will always have the perfect caption.

Editors are responsible for writing hundreds of articles a year and probably edit over 1,000 articles a year. So, if an editor works with words this much I am sure we can help you come up an unforgettable caption for your next Snapchat story or Instagram post. We know the difference between your, you're and your. So we will always sound intelligent on social media so your friends and family will know that we are smart. PS I promise I will always refer to you as a "human being" rather than a "human bean."

3. We know how to communicate intelligently.

Communication and editors are literally attached at the hip. Editors are expected to communicate intelligently with the public, their writers and the rest of their team. So if an editor does this much communicating, you are less likely to have miscommunications when dating an editor. If editors are constantly communicating chances are we will communicate well when meeting your family and friends.

4. We can help you with your papers.

Dating an editor will probably save you a trip to the Writing Center or the headache of booking an appointment at your teacher's office hours. That is the icing on the cake of dating an editor.

5. Editors are pretty creative.

Editors are often very creative people. The creativity of editors will allow you to go on dates that are not just your typical "dinner and a movie." Editors are creative enough to come up with a better and more unique idea for date night.

6. Editors are amazing at meeting deadlines, so we will never be late to anything.

Editors are born to meet deadlines, so we are born to be on time at whatever we do. So you don't have to worry about us being extremely late to a date.

7. Editors are dedicated and will always stick by your side.

Editors are a rare breed of the most dedicated people on the earth. If an editor is willing to read thirty articles a week (like myself), then imagine how dedicated they would be to the one they love?

So next time you a single editor ask him/her if they want to go get coffee. I am sure you want to get to know them better after reading this list.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
