Senior year is full of many monumental moments. You finally get to embrace life for yourself, and although it's scary it really is one for the books! Nostalgia is more contagious than the flu but less fun than missing the classes. Here are eight things that every senior realizes before the year is over!

1. Senioritis is an actual illness.

Because NO ONE wants to do anything senior year, except graduate.

2. School spirit magically appears, for EVERYTHING!!!!

3. Your class really is your family.

We don't get close to everyone, but sharing four years of your life with some people is a lot! You've stressed together, cried together, laughed together, bonded together, and even grew together. They're your people. Just like Meredith without Cristina, it's gonna be hard.

4. You can't stand the freshman marching around like they own everything.

During your last year of school, it really begins to irk some people when the freshman think they get all the perks of the seniors. Like, come on!! I had to do my time for the past four years now it's their turn, ugh!

5. You finally realize you really aren't ready for life.

* Insert crying emojis here* How did we ever expect ourselves to be able to adult when we still blast High School Musical's "Gotta Go My Own Way" when we can't break up with our significant others?!?!?

6. I could have sworn I was just ten yesterday?

Somewhere, somehow, we all just magically went from being ten years old to an adult. One day we fell asleep and the next day we woke up in a corporate office at a desk instead of in our beds, and no Scooby Doo was not on T.V....CNN was.

7. You think about every last as if you're dying.

This is truly the end of an era. Every last is extremely exaggerated. "This is my last time having class here." "Last laundry day." "Last mental breakdown in this crappy apartment." "Last time getting to use the expensive toilet paper." If it's a last, I'm pretty sure someone has shed a tear about it somewhere.

8. You spend all year wanting to graduate, but when you actually graduate you just want it all back.

Carpe Diem while you still can.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
