The Top 10 Shows To Binge Watch This Semester

Because, let's face it, we all need those breaks from the constant flow of school work.

The Top 10 Shows To Binge Watch This Semester

Honestly, I don't know what I would do without the influx of Netflix shows with the accessibility at our fingertips. Here are some of the favorites that help me get through the day.

1. Quantico

This show is easily one of the best shows on Netflix and I have watched every season over three times. If you're looking for a show with constant action and if you're into the FBI and crime, watch this. Seriously.

2. How To Get Away With Murder

This show has arguably one of the biggest plot twists out there and I honestly couldn't stop watching unless I finished almost an entire plotline. The director leads you to over 4 different suspicions and the ending is completely unexpected.

3. Gossip Girl

Many of you have probably already seen this show but honestly it doesn't get better than Chuck Bass. Enough Said.

4. The 100

Although I'm not usually the biggest fan of science fiction. The 100 is one of the best shows I've ever seen. It starts off with the remaining of the human race in space because the earth was deemed toxic. They end up sending juvenile teenagers down to earth and you can probably put it together from there.

5. Black Mirror

I used to think this show was too creepy for me, but after watching it more, I realized it was honestly the hard truth that not many people are willing to expect. I recently watched the interactive movie on Netflix where the viewer has the ability to choose the outcome and in my opinion, that is one of the smartest movie ideas I have ever witnessed.

6. YOU

Ok, very debatable. Kinda gross, really messed up. In the beginning, I didn't think I would be able to make it through the show, but it ended up having a disturbing, yet anticipating and action-filled plot line.

7. Scandal

I watched this show around my Sophmore year of high school and despite the political inaccuracy of it, the dynamic of the White House, Washington D.C, and the job of Olivia Pope motivated me in my major of Political Science.

8. Shameless

If you're looking for comic relief this is definitely the show to watch. It provides the perfect mix of drama, comedy, and action.

9. Carrie Diaries

I watched this in middle school and between the mix of rebellion and drama I could never stop watching it. This was a very light TV show and it made it extremely easy to watch.

10. Grey's Anatomy

I mean, obviously. I had to stop halfway through this show because it really messed with my emotions, but it seriously doesn't get better than this.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
