A Selfie a Day Keeps The Insecurities Away

Continuing with the Selfie a Day articles, I have a new load of pictures of myself. They all capture different parts of me that I think are beautiful, and even if I don't think they're beautiful altogether, there's a little something that I can find beautiful about each and every photo in this listicle.

Day 1: I was in the car with a couple of really good friends, I was the one driving, so it was their job to pick where we would eat. I really liked how I did my makeup that day; my lipstick came out looking really cute. I never really wear hats often, but it was cold that day, so I wore one. I think it looks good in this selfie.

Day 2: Thanksgiving! Hopefully, no one tells my brother that this picture of him is on the internet. This picture caused a fight between us that then led to my ginger ale being spilled all over my (really cute) dress. I had some really pretty lipstick on that night, but my aunt made an insane amount of food so it all rubbed away when I started eating.

Day 3: Not the biggest fan of this picture. I think my eyes look weird, like they're two different sizes. Although, I love my eye color. I inherited the color from my father. I also think my skin looks pretty good in this picture, I didn't have many breakouts that day, which is always a good thing! I wish I could have gotten a picture of the back of my head, I did a dutch braid and it looked A M A Z I N G!

Day 4: I was waiting on my couch with my mom for my best friend to get back from New Jersey. I love my best friend a lot, I always feel the most like myself when I'm around Courtney. No one will ever come into my life that I love more than her. She helps me feel pretty, it's a great feeling.

Day 5: I had just gotten back to SUNY New Paltz, with my best friend/ roomie. I love it when I wear glitter in the corner of my eyes. I feel like it's a good amount of shine in my life. I think it really brings out the color of my eyes, and they really look great.

Day 6: Loving life, and myself, on this beautiful day, on this beautiful campus of SUNY New Paltz. I love my school because it has one of the most scenic campuses. I don't know if I'll ever find another place as beautiful as here. I love my hair in this picture. Right now it's red, but you can really only see the real color in the sunlight.

Day 7: This is the day I've felt the prettiest so far. I'm wearing my favorite lipstick, again. I'm wearing my favorite blue eyeliner, and of course glitter under my eyes!! I'm finally wearing my hair wavy, which my roommate is always excited about. I truly love myself today.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
