Selena Gomez got super real on Instagram on Friday opening up about her struggle with bipolar disorder.
Selena has always been very honest and transparent about her mental health journey and this was no exception.
She disclosed her experience with bipolar disorder on Miley Cyrus' Instagram live while chatting with Miley on her daily talk show.
Miley started a mini-show on her Instagram live called "Bright Minded: Live" where she invites celebrities to chat with her candidly about a variety of things. She started this little series when quarantining started to get rough for a lot of people and wanted to liven up the morale of her fans and followers.
Selena has been known to really advocate for mental health while always trying to prioritize her own.
In 2018 she entered into a program to help deal with her anxiety and depression and had treatment again later on into that year.
In the clip, Selena expresses what she does to deal with her mental health and feelings during quarantining and everything going on in the world right now saying that she is a "huge empath" so she feels a lot especially for what other people are feeling.
She then talks to Miley about her advice to those who are scared to talk about or reach out about mental health disclosing her struggles and what she did to keep it manageable for herself and what helped her the most.
