Secrets From The Royal Family

Growing up all little girls wanted to be princesses. But what we didn't realize at the time was all of the rules that came with the glamorous lifestyle. Lets look at a few rules that the royal family lives by.

1. When the Queen Is Done Eating So Are You

When it comes to eating with the royal family it is recommended that you follow the Queens lead. And that includes finishing when she is done as well. Lets hope you're not too hungry.

2. You Can't Vote

3. You Can Not Hold A Political Office

4. You Can Not Play Monopoly

As crazy as this one sounds this is an actual rule in the family. The game is said to become too vicious so the royal family made a rule back in 2008 saying that you can't play the game.

5. You Can't Be Touched By Non-Royals

6. You Can't Be Roman Catholic

While this is more of a recommendation again it is actually preferred that you stick to the Church of England.

7. You Need To Know Multiple Languages

8. You Can't Eat Shellfish

This to a seafood lover may be crazy but this one is a rule for good reason. You will never see the royal family eating shellfish out of fear that is could cause food poisoning and get someone sick. Better safe than sorry.

9. You Can't Wear Fur (Rule Sometimes Broken)

10. You Can't Be Addressed By Your Birth Name, This Includes Nicknames

If you ever meet someone who is a royal you won't hear people address them as "Natalie" or "Buck". When you become a royal you go by your new royal title. this can be seen with Princess Kate, or as she is known as Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge.

11. You Can Not Sign Anything Unofficial

12. You Must Always Look Presentable

When we see pictures of the royal family one of the first things we notice is how nice they always look. It is expected of you to always look your best, you wouldn't want the tabloids getting a picture of you in your leggings and sweater.

13. You Must Be As Charitable As Possible

14. You Must Give Up Your Former Career

Whether you were a teacher or a CEO once you become royalty you must give up your former career for this new life.

15. If You Were Once A Commoner You Can't Arrive At A Party Before The Blood Princess

16. Your Clothes Can't Send Ambiguous Messages

17. You Must Accept Gifts Graciously

18. Direct Heirs Can't Travel Together

19. All Holidays Are Spent Together

20. You Must Attend Royal Events

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
