Eleven Activities To Put On Your To-Do List For The Last Few Weeks Of Summer

I can't believe it's already July! If you're anything like me, you've probably been taking naps for most of the summer. Staying at home and relaxing is great but I know that there is so much more I could be doing. Now that summer is almost halfway over, I want to make the most of what's left of the warm weather. Grab a few friends and try some of these activities and make the rest of summer 2016 unforgettable.

1. Multiple trips to the beach.

Is it really summer if you didn't go to the beach at least once? There is something so relaxing about seeing the sparkling blue water and feeling the fresh ocean breeze.

2. Berry and peach picking at your local farm or orchard.

There is no better time to enjoy fresh berries and fruits. Strawberries and blueberries are my personal favorite and knowing that I picked them myself makes them taste that much better.

3. A road trip with your best friends.

The experiences you create with your best friends are unlike any other. Whether you go on a 2 hour trip or drive out to California, this will be one memory that you'll never forget.

4. An outdoor concert or music festival.

Summer is the best time for outdoor concerts. Whether it be at the beach or in Central Park, there is an endless amount of options. The best part is that you can attend some of these for free.

5. Stargaze and sleep under the stars.

Nature is stunning and I've always admired the beauty of the night sky. If you love the outdoors or if you want to try something different, spend a night under the stars.

6. Go outside and dance in the rain.

It's important to enjoy the little things in life. Stepping out during light summer rain is so refreshing.

7. Have a bonfire and make s'mores.

There is nothing more comforting than the warmth of a bonfire and being surrounded by the people you love. Roasting marshmallows is a summer tradition that is bound to bring back childhood memories.

8. Make flower crowns.

I've been flower crown obsessed for the past 2 years and it's one of my favorite hair accessories. Collecting your own flowers and making pretty flower crowns is a simple, but fun activity. And you can wear them to just about anything!

9. Wake up early enough to watch the sunrise.

One of nature's simplest gifts to us is the beauty of the sunrise. For me, it represents hope and the choice to start over. Seeing the sunrise could help you feel better if you've been feeling down or stressed. Either way, you will be amazed by it.

10. Go to a county or state fair.

If you enjoy going on the ferris wheel, seeing adorable baby animals and playing carnival games to win stuffed animals, the fair is the perfect place for you. Be sure to enjoy delicious fair food like churros and funnel cakes!

11. Spend time and relax with your friends and family.

Don't forget to spend time with your friends and family because some of the most amazing memories are created with the ones we love. Whether you go out to eat or have a movie marathon at home, bonding with those you love will make you a happier person.

Most importantly, make sure that you're making the most of your time because you are only young once and there is so much to do.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
