The Bachelorette season premiere was a night filled with unicorns, Scottish skirts, man splits, alcohol and ultimately, a naked man. Here are some guys that caught my attention on the first night and thoughts on the outlook for this season of The Bachelorette.
Luke- This cutie stole the show (and JoJo’s heart), once he rode in on an actual unicorn on the first night. *Flashback to last season’s, The Bachelor, when JoJo introduced herself to Ben wearing a unicorn mask.* He’s a very charming and handsome man, which I think JoJo will come to love and admire. He has a leg up on many of the guys since he’s from Texas, so we’ll see where that takes him. No doubt we will be seeing Luke for weeks to come.
Daniel- We all know someone who gets too drunk and ends up stripping out of their clothes and jumps into a swimming pool. If you don’t know anyone like that, well, in that case, meet Daniel. He not only embarrassed himself in front of JoJo and the entire nation, he simply lacks respect for her. That’s not the kind of first impression I would want to leave on someone for the first night. Damn Daniel.
Jordan- This is the guy I want to be down on one knee at the end of this season. I love him. I love everything about him. Jordan and JoJo hit it off immediately as soon as he got out of the limousine and said to her, “As crazy as this journey is going to be, just know that it CAN happen.” Ugh, swoon! The kiss they shared later in the night also clarified the fact this former NFL quarterback will definitely make it to the top four. #TeamJordan
Nick S.- As soon as Nick got out of the limousine, I liked what I saw. When Nick headed inside to meet the other men it all went downhill…fast. Nick was also highly intoxicated on the first night which I’m not sure if that’s always been a tradition for the men on The Bachelorette, but he made quite a fool out of himself which is how he got a spot on my naughty list and left with no rose. Nick, I was really rooting for you, you’re a good looking guy who has a lot of potential. The next time you have a first date, try taking it slow on the alcohol.
Wells- Oh Wells! This adorable guy sends off a dorky yet lovable vibe. His appreciation for music led him to bring an acapella group along on the show and serenade JoJo throughout the night. Wells is the kind of guy you read about in young-adult novels where he’s the “nerdy boy next door” but turns out to be perfect and the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. I don’t see him getting caught up in much drama so that will work towards his advantage because if anyone picks on the sweet Wells I will probably cry.
Robby- He wasn’t highlighted on the show much during the first episode but I can tell this guy is a true winner. He didn’t show his personality much but from his interactions with JoJo I know he is a charming, respectful and humbled man. Robby brings JoJo a bottle of wine as a gift when he met her which is a great first impression. Robby is in the clear with the Fletcher's because JoJo already expressed that her mother will LOVE a guy like Robby.
Chad- This guy is literally the popular athlete in high school that is a jerk to everyone. Chad's commentary the entire night wasn’t even on JoJo, it was of the other men in the house. He had some serious trouble forming a sentence when he first met JoJo so giving him the benefit of the doubt; I’m thinking his nerves got the best of him which is why he was a huge ass the entire night to everyone. He will probably go far in the show because of his good looks but I hope JoJo sees his true personality soon and sends him home. I‘m not a big fan of this guy because, in my book, mean boys finish last. Every. Time.
Some other men I would like to call attention to are; Ali, Christian, Alex, James T. and Chase. I hope to see more of their personalities in the next week and watch how they develop feelings for the beloved JoJo.
All jokes aside, every single one of the men on The Bachelorette deserves to find true love. Even if they don’t get a rose in the weeks to come, it does say a lot about their character that they gave up everything to find the love they wish to have. This is a great group of men and being the hopeless romantic I am, I do believe JoJo can get her happily ever after with one of them.
