Halloween is coming to an end, unfortunately. But, that doesn't mean all the horrific fun has to end as well! Sure, haunted houses are closing, costume parties are coming to an end and the discount candy is starting to sell out. But one of the best parts of Halloween will always be available; Horror Movies.
Here are a list of some of the best scary movies streaming on Netflix right now!
1. The Queen of the Damned (2002).
The ultimate vampire movie; Twilight can suck it.
2. The Uninvited (2009).
If you're looking for a psychological thriller, I recommend this one!
3. The Ouija Experiment (2011).
Ouija Boards freak me out to begin with, but this film's "NR" rating gives viewers a taste of just how freaky this movie will be. Bonus: the sequel is also on Netflix!
4. Dead Silence (2007).
If you're afraid of dolls, you're probably afraid of dummies too, so I would proceed with caution here. This movie bothered me for weeks after.
5. The Curse of Chucky (2013).
Speaking of dolls, if you're like me (who was scarred for life by a Chucky doll in a Spencers at the mall before the age of 10) then I would steer clear of this movie. But, if you're looking for a good laugh with a killer doll and you haven't suffered any emotional trauma regarding a red-haired demon doll, then 10/10 would definitely recommend.
6. Children of the Corn (1984).
Evil children living in a cornfield. Enough said.
7. The Human Centipede: First Sequence (2009).
Admittedly, I have never seen any of the Human Centipede movies. I'm not upset by that, though. This movie is not for the faint of heart...and try not to watch it right after dinner.
8. The Crow (1994).
Based on a popular comic book in the 90's, The Crow is a great Thriller with an awesome story line. The sequels, also available for streaming on Netflix, really don't compare to Brandon Lee's original performance.
9. Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010).
Okay, so this one really isn't that scary. BUT, it is absolutely hilarious, making fun of the stereotypical Teen Horror genre.
10. The Rite (2011).
Anthony Hopkins and demons? Sign me up.
11. The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death (2014).
Unfortunately Netflix doesn't have the first movie available, but I felt like this sequel wasn't the worst thing in the world, as horror sequels typically are.
12. Haunter (2013).
I watched this movie one night when I couldn't find anything else to watch, and I really didn't have high expectations for it, but I was pleasantly surprised by the story line and the occasional jump-scare.
13. VHS (2012).
This is the one horror movie that has truly bothered me. Like, I mean really bothered. The premise of it is that a group of burglars break into an old man's house to find a rare VHS tape and find the old man, dead, along with a hoard of terrifying videos depicting different acts of horror. I was so freaked out I couldn't even get through the sequels--which are also on Netflix!
