Inside the Life of a Great Girl

Why Sadie Robertson Should Be Every Girl's Role Model

There is a countless amount of beautiful and talented female celebrities in the spotlight these days. From actresses to musicians to artists, you can always find them being talked about in one way or another. However, there is one famous woman who has consistently stuck out, in my opinion. Her name is Sadie Robertson. For those of you who may not know who she is, Sadie is an eighteen-year-old Louisiana girl whose family owns a popular business and has its own television series on A&E. For constantly being in the spotlight for millions to see, Sadie has always shown us why we should want to be like her. Heres are five reasons why Sadie Robertson should be every girl’s role model:

1. Her love for Jesus

First and most importantly, Sadie is a woman of God. Yes, she was born into a Christian family and she is young, but she holds her faith, individually, and is not afraid to let everyone know it.

2. Her relationship

Everyone has seen how Sadie’s boyfriend treats her so sweetly; let’s face it, she is in love. (And we quite possibly have fallen in love, too!) If you have not had the chance to see their relationship, you are missing out! Sadie and her boyfriend have been dating for over a year now, and have kept boundaries for each other since the beginning. They have allowed God to be number in their relationship, which may be why they are so happy!

3. Her morals

Sadie has made it a point to everyone watching her that she is a young woman with good, Christian morals. She is a very independent person who clearly does not let the rest of the world’s opinions get in her way.

4. Her fame

If you haven’t paid much attention to how Sadie handles her fame, just look at her Instagram page, her book, or even her YouTube videos. She uses her fame to encourage others and to remind her audience that they are loved. Her videos on YouTube let people know that God has made them unique and original, and there is nothing to be ashamed of. Sometimes being so young can be a downfall for celebrities, but not for this girl!

5. Her modesty

Last but certainly not least, Sadie’s modesty is a great quality for a young woman to have. She is easily one of the most respected young celebrities by the way she carries herself, starting with how she dresses. Just think about it, the way a girl dresses is one way to judge what kind of person she may be, and by modestly dressing yourself, you will be respected! Sadie does just that. There is a very slim chance that anyone could find a picture of her not dressing modestly.

With all of that being said, cheers to Sadie Robertson for being one of my biggest role models in life, and hopefully the same to other girls as well. You’re a rockstar, Sadie!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
