Model Iskra Lawrence is the Managing Editor for Runway Riot. Iskra wants Runway Riot to be a place for all women to be included and said in an interview she had with Good Morning America, "We plan to create a home for women to come and feel inspired. It's going to be the first chance for women to feel included in fashion, from zeros to 28s. We are going to talk about cool and trendy clothes for women of all sizes."
As someone who was dropped from being a straight sized model by her former modeling agency because she was "too curvy" and then being told that she was too small to be a plus size model, Lawrence knows first hand what it's like to feel excluded in the fashion industry. Lawrence is now a model for Jag Models and uses her social media accounts as a voice to send the message that it is time to see more women in the media that are different sizes.
The site provides women with the latest fashion, makeup and beauty trends and has articles on a variety of stories about body image. A few of their most recent articles include "Chloë Grace Moretz Explains Why She Doesn’t Want to Look Like a Sports Illustrated Model", "Lena Dunham Rocks a Crop Top in The New York Times Magazine", and "It’s Insane That Adele Wonders If She’s Successful Because She’s Curvy". Iskra even posted a video showing How Dangerously Easy It Is to Airbrush Selfies.
