The Royal Family

April 2016 was the month of the Royal Family. From the Queen Elizabeth's 90th Birthday to Prince George meeting President Obama in his bathrobe, the family were making headlines nearly every day. In case you missed it, here is a rundown of all the major monarchy moments this month.

April 5: Prince Harry helped builders rebuild a village in Nepal that was destroyed by the earthquake in 2015. We have recently seen Prince Harry taking a more active role in his Royal duties, often going on trips on behalf of the Queen. This trip was intended to be five days long at the end of March, but the Prince extended the stay after being moved by the stories of the earthquake's victims. Working with Team Rubicon UK, Prince Harry got right into the middle of the action building and spending time with locals.

April 10 - April 16: Prince William and Kate Middleton take a week-long tour of India and Bhutan. In a much anticipated trip, the Duke and Duchess toured historical sites, attended charity galas, and toured a wildlife reservation. The photograph above of the couple outside of the Taj Mahal was one of the most poignant parts of the trip, they recreated the iconic photo of Princess Diana sitting outside of the monument.

April 19: Prince William and Prince Harry visited the set of Star Wars. The royals proved that they are mega fans of the franchise when they toured the Pinewood Studios when they mingled with the cast and crew of the film. Prince Harry was photographed hugging Chewbacca and Prince William spent some time with droid BB-8.

April 20: The Royal Mail releases a stamp in honor of the Queen's 90th birthday. It doesn't get more precious than four generations of royalty photographed together in matching outfits. Although the photograph is to commemorate the Queen's big day, Prince George steals the spotlight. How adorable is the future King of England standing on books while holding his father's hand?

April 20: The Palace released exclusive photos of the Queen taken by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz for her birthday. The other photos from this shoot were incredible one featuring the seven youngest members of her family and the other a tender portrait of the Queen and her daughter Princess Margaret. But this picture of the Queen and her beloved dogs is by far the best. Fun Fact: The dogs names are Willow, Vulcan, Candy and Holly.

April 21: The Queen celebrates her 90th birthday in Windsor. It doesn't get more fabulous than this birthday celebration. Queen Elizabeth rides in the back of an open top Range Rover and waves to the public who lined the streets just to catch a glimpse of her.

April 22: Prince George meets President Obama in his pajamas. The real news should have been that the Obama's had dinner with the Duke and Duchess at their family home, but Prince George undoubtedly stole the show. The two year-old looks adorable in his baby blue and white pajama set with a matching monogrammed robe and slippers.

April 24: The Royals show off their fun sides when shooting a video for the charity Heads Together. The Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry are very invested in raising awareness for mental health. They filmed a video for the charity that expressed their commitment to the cause and showed that they are able to have fun just like the rest of us.

April 30: Kate Middleton is on the cover of British Vogue's June Issue. To celebrate 100 years of British Vogue, the National Portrait Gallery will be having an exhibition where the portraits of the Duchess will be on display. Three other gorgeous photos of the future Queen were released from the magazine.

May 1: Photographs are released of Princess Charlotte to commemorate her first birthday. Kate Middleton once again wows us with her incredible photography skills. Princess Charlotte looks so adorable playing with her toys in her pretty pink dress.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
