I grew up watching Friends with my older cousins as when I got older I decided to watch the whole series pilot to finale (these were the days before Netflix had Friends on demand so I had to rely on the DVDs and Nick @ Nite). I developed my own opinions about Friends and the characters. When I started to discuss Friends with my friends I realized that many of them hated Ross. I always thought that Ross was funny and an all around good guy and I never quite understood why he was so hated by fans of the show. For all you Ross haters out there here are some moments where he was the best.

1. He was going to take Rachel to prom when she didn’t have a date.

Y’all this is the cutest Friends moment ever and if you disagree I probably hate you.

2. He remembered.

This was one of the most iconic Ross and Rachel moments. How could you hate someone who bought something that was expensive for someone just because it had sentimental value to her? Rachel also says that they saw her gift MONTHS ago and he remembered. That is pretty special if you ask me.

3. He had a monkey.

You have to admit Marcel was cute and perfect. If your heart didn’t skip a beat when Marcel had to be taken to the hospital for spelling monkey with Scrabble pieces then you have no heart.

4. Then he realized that having a monkey was insane.

Although he was cute and perfect Ross was odd for having one, but he eventually admits that it was crazy.

5. He is as bad at flirting as all of us are.

Ross flirting with the pizza delivery girl was a sight to see. It might have been worse when he practiced with Phoebe but nevertheless he epitomises all of us terribly awkward people who are simply incapable of flirting.

6. He taught Chandler the “Hug and Roll.”

Chandler was having problems with Janis’s cuddling so he provided him with a solution. That’s a true friend having another friend’s back.

7. He is a good father.

He created the holiday armadillo for his son to teach him about his Jewish heritage. How could anyone hate that? And if that wasn’t enough he sang Baby Got Back to his baby, Emma, just so he could9. see her smile and hear her laugh.

8. He was a good friend to Joey and helped him with his audition.

It bothered him that he didn’t help out his friend Joey because it made him feel like a bad friend so despite his fear he kissed him to help him out.

9. When Phoebe was mad at him he tried very hard to make it right.

When Phoebe was mad at Ross and didn’t tell him why he did everything to figure out why and even when she didn’t tell him why he apologized for whatever he may have done. It turns out that Phoebe was mad at dream Ross but Ross didn’t even get mad about Phoebe’s mistake.

10. He has Unagi.

Nuf said.
