Growing up, moving out, and starting at a new school with all new people can be overwhelming; not to mention that college seems to be a million times harder than high school. There seems to be a negative stereotype with rooming with you best friend from high school but is it really such an issue? there are plenty of reason why rooming with your best friend is a good thing.
1. It's like a Sleep Over Every Night
Admit it; at some point in your life every time you were in summer or winter break in school you tried to have a sleepover with your best friend every night. You maybe got three or four nights in until one of your parents made you separate. In college, you don't have the problem of ever needing to separate to please your parents.
2. You always have someone to go out with
Everyone knows freshman year is the time when students party the most. If you live with your best friend you never have to worry about finding someone to go out with. This also enforces the buddy system so you know that you and your BFF will always be safe,
3. You Make Double the Friend
It's obvious that you and your best friend are going to meet other people but this is actually a good thing. Anyone that your BFF makes friends with instantly becomes on of your friends too and vise versa. You'll have double the sized friend group.
4. You always have someone to talk to
College is stressful and sometimes you need to talk and decompress. When you live with your best friend you never have to worry about finding someone to talk to. Just make you you listen to their problems too.
5. Double the Wardrobe
Sharing clothes between friends is common and in college it's necessary. With downsize in closet space it's good to share with you friend. If you bring half of your clothes, and they bring half of their clothes, you have the same amount of clothes.
