10 Things To Love About Living With Your BFF

Many people have said that living with your best friend is a horrible idea. They say that once you live together you won't be friends anymore, you'll hate each other, blah, blah, blah. Well let me tell you, that is not always the case. Living with your best friend is one of the greatest things that can happen.

1. It's like a slumber party every night.

Staying up late and talking all night isn't just a once a week thing. It's a once a night thing! Staying up late is pretty much normal when living with your best friend.

2. You get to borrow each other's clothes.

Whether it be scarves, shoes, shirts, or pants, you are always borrowing each other's clothes. It's like having multiple closets and only having to pay for one! It's the best thing ever.

3. You have double the amount of food in the house.

Going grocery shopping is a little bit easier. Between the two or three of you, there is always enough food and normally all of the essentials are already bought by at least one of you. So when grocery shopping, you shop for your self (with best friend/roommate in mind) and then when you get home there is a variety of food there!

4. You never have to say "Bye, see you later."

Living with your best friend, the only "bye" is dropping them off at class. They may go home, but you are probably with them or you Snapchat them every move you make. So you really aren't apart for long. When you get home, it's like you haven't seen them in years!

5. It's like having a sister.

If you had sisters or not, living with your best friend is almost just like growing up with a sister. You have to share everything and let's not forget the fights that you get over pretty quickly. There's joy and there's pain.

6. You get taken care of when you're sick.

Your best friend is like a mom when it comes to you being sick. They get your medicine for you, give it to you, and make sure you're taken care of. It's pretty great being away from home and still having this kind of care.

7. Random dance parties are fun.

Cooking and cleaning are never boring or dreaded. There is always some sort of "party" that comes with the normally dreaded chores. Living with your best friend, you don't have to care about how awful your dance moves are or how well you can sing. It's just fun getting to do those things that most people would judge you for.

8. Karaoke gets pretty wild too.

Same thing as dancing... It's always a good time!

9. You never have to do things alone.

You always have someone there to get into trouble with you. Want to go to the bar? They probably do too. Want to go make unhealthy choices and eat out? They definitely do too. You are never alone if you are living with your best friend.

10. You have a forever cuddle partner.

After a break up, it's pretty hard... Except with your best friend under the same roof. Whether you are upset about the boy who doesn't deserve you or if you didn't get the job you really wanted, your best friend is there to cuddle with you, and they normally have no problem being the big spoon. They are your forever friend in times of need.

Living with your best friend isn't at all bad and honestly, I recommend it to anyone. They are the only ones that you can be completely honest with without them getting mad or hating you forever. You may get on each other's nerves and bicker every now and again, but that happens in life everywhere you go. Your best friend is basically your soul mate before you actually find your soul mate. Love your best friend/roommate because they love you just as much and maybe more.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
