Road Trips Soothe The Soul, So Go On Them

Sometimes you just need to escape life for a little while and sometimes that may look like getting in your car and driving. Whether you have a destination in mind or not, road trips can soothe the soul. They give you time to clear your head, listen to some good music, and enjoy some time to yourself or with good friends, whichever you choose.

One of my favorite road trips to take is jumping in my car with my best friends and driving anywhere to watch the sunset. I think we would travel anywhere to see the perfect sunset. I can remember one time when we drove an hour just to find the perfect spot. It's important to have friends like that in your life as well. The ones that encourage you to be spontaneous and to enjoy life.

It's important for everyone to take some time for themselves and road trips are the perfect opportunity to do that. When you feel overwhelmed or like you need to just get away for just a little while, call a friend or go by yourself and just drive; wherever you want. For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
